Environmental Engineering Student Association Universitas Pertamina (HMTL UP)
HMTL UP is a student organization established under the Environmental Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Infrastructure Planning, Universitas Pertamina. It was founded on September 16, 2017, by the first cohort of Environmental Engineering students at Universitas Pertamina, with guidance from faculty members.
The first period (2018/2019) was led by Muhammad Aang Nurhadi, an Environmental Engineering student from the 2016 cohort. HMTL UP was established with the aim of providing a platform for gaining organizational experience, honing soft skills, and enhancing achievements in both academic and non-academic fields. The first administration, known as the “Two-Sided Cabinet,” aimed to balance students' academic life with their community service activities, and to serve as a medium for implementing the values of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education.
The second period (2019/2020), under the “Synergy Cabinet,” was led by Rahmat Kurnia Batubara from the 2017 cohort. Each cabinet in HMTL UP, which changes annually, has its own vision and mission that complement each other to align with the expectations of all members of the Environmental Engineering program at Universitas Pertamina. The third period was led by Abid Naufal Khairan from the 2018 cohort, with the “Horizon Cabinet.” Unlike the previous periods, the third period's activities were conducted online due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Despite the challenges, HMTL UP continued to thrive and adhere to its vision and mission through effective collaboration among its members.
As of early 2022, HMTL UP has entered its fourth period (2021/2022) with the “Darpa Diraya Cabinet,” led by Santia Sekarwangi from the 2019 cohort. Operating online, the Darpa Diraya Cabinet aims to make HMTL UP a platform for expression with a sense of family, creating a comprehensive student organization. The mission of the Darpa Diraya Cabinet includes instilling professionalism and responsibility among active Environmental Engineering students, fostering a sense of family within HMTL UP for integrated communication, developing members' potential in both academic and non-academic fields, and establishing relationships with organizations and institutions both within and outside Universitas Pertamina.
Currently, HMTL UP is guided by the Student Affairs Supervisor for the Environmental Engineering Study Program, Dr. Eng. Nova Ulhasanah, S.T., M.Eng, who is also a faculty member of the Environmental Engineering program.
It is hoped that under any circumstances and leadership, HMTL UP will continue to endure and improve annually, benefiting all members of the Environmental Engineering program at Universitas Pertamina. Salam Lestari!
