Department of Geophysical Engineering

Geohysical Engineering Study Program is an Earth science discipline that applies the principles of physics, mathematics, and geology to investigate subsurface systems. Supported by advanced instrumentation and computational technologies, subsurface characterization is conducted for applications in energy resource exploration and production, engineering problem-solving, environmental studies, and other geoscience-related fields.

Vision

To become a leading and globally competitive Undergraduate Program in Geophysical Engineering, particularly in the exploration and production of Earth energy resources, by no later than 2035.


Mission

Mission of the Geophysical Engineering Study Program

  1. To produce graduates who are excellent, professional, ethical, broad-minded, and globally competitive in the field of Earth energy resource exploration and production through the implementation of high-quality education.

  2. To conduct research and develop innovations in Geophysics, particularly in addressing national and global challenges related to Earth energy resources.

  3. To serve and empower communities through the application of geophysical expertise and scientific knowledge.
